About Lombard Counseling

We are masters level clinicians: LCPCs (clinical counselors) or LCSWs (clinical social workers).

We have experience in working with children, teens, individuals, and couples/families.

We specialize in: communication, parenting, substance abuse, anxiety disorders, grief and loss, abuse, and trauma.

We are goal oriented therapists, meaning your therapy will be directed by goals we will explore together. Although each person is unique, generally speaking we help individuals reach their goals through a two stage process: first by developing insight into thoughts and behaviors that have become counterproductive in their lives and second by assisting individuals implement new behaviors that achieve the change being sought.

In order for therapy to be effective it is imperative that you feel comfortable with your therapist. In fact, rapport between you and your therapist is often times the most important element within the clinical relationship. If you don’t feel understood and trusting of your therapist, there is a good chance you won’t want to talk about anything that is uncomfortable for you. Therefore, we encourage you to be as educated as possible about the process. If you have specific questions that you would like to ask, please feel free to contact us. I invite you to read more about the practice. If you have any other questions, or if you are ready to book an initial appointment, please feel free to contact us by phone or email. We are happy to offer a 15 minute phone consultation to potential clients to answer any questions you might have.
